Dear Parent,
Jeans for Genes
Please, please read all this letter – thank you.
Once again we will be participating in the National, 'Jeans for Genes' Appeal, on Friday, 1st October, 2010.
Last year the appeal raised over £3,000,000. These funds are helping to develop new and better treatments for children all over the world.
This year the charity is funding Genetic Disorders which affect the lives of one in every thirty-three children.
You can change these children's lives by wearing your jeans and making a donation on Jeans for Genes Day.
Your child will need to bring £1.00 into school (to be given to his/her form teacher/tutor) to take part in this appeal on Friday, 1st October.
Children can wear jeans with a nice, coloured top (their P.E top is fine). Children should wear trainers, not boots or high-heeled, open-toed or open-backed, shiny shoes.
ALSO THEY ARE INVITED TO WEAR EITHER A FLAMBOYANT HAT OR A WIG (or spike their hair to look like a wig) - PLEASE NO BANDANAS.
Please help support this very worthwhile campaign. ALL donations go to the, 'Jeans for Genes' Appeal.
Many thanks for all your support and goodwill.
Mrs. End,
School Secretary
