Visit to The Centre of the Cell at Barts and The London Hospital, Monday 4 October, 2010


A trip is being arranged for Classes 5 and 6 to visit The Centre of the Cell at Barts and The London Hospital on Monday 4 October, 2010.

The children will depart from school in the morning but will return to school in time for a 3:30p.m. collection.

This trip is linked to the children's Key Stage 2 Science lessons.

We will be travelling by public transport (the cost of which has been covered by Transport for London) and we will be at the centre until after lunch. Please send children with money for lunch and a drink which can be purchased on the premises from the Nucleus Cafe and eaten there.


There is no charge for this trip


Please ensure that your child is wearing full school uniform and a school uniform topcoat.

If you wish your child to be included in this trip please complete the section at the bottom of this page and return it to your child's teacher by Friday 24 September, 2010.

Visit to The Bloomsbury Theatre, Gordon Street London, on Tuesday 12 October 2010


A trip is being arranged for Classes 5 and 6 to visit The Bloomsbury Theatre, London, to see: HORRIBLE SCIENCE: Live on Stage, on Tuesday 12 October 2010.

The children will depart from school in the morning directly after registration, but will return to school in time for a 3:30 collection.

This trip is linked to the children's Key Stage 2 Science lessons.

The cost of the trip is £11.00 which is the cost of admission to the Bloomsbury Theatre. We will be travelling by public transport (the cost of which has been covered by Transport for London).
We will be at the theatre during the lunch period so the children will need to bring a packed lunch – please send in a lunch cool bag (these can be purchased from Marks and Spencer) and three drinks, in plastic bottles or cartons, no glass containers, or fizzy drinks please. We have booked the use of The Studio to eat our lunch in.
Please ensure that your child is wearing full school uniform and a school uniform topcoat.
If you wish your child to be included in this trip please complete the section at the bottom and return it to your child's teacher, with a cheque to the value of £11.00, made payable to Ilford Preparatory School. This must be returned to teacher by Thursday 30 September.
