Subject options

During year 9, students will be informally polled about subject preferences twice, in Michaelmas and Lent term, prior to making their final choice in Trinity term. The informal polls are used to ensure that students make an informed choice as well as to indicate popularity for option banding.

Subject preferences involve ranking subjects in order of preference, such as;

Design Technology
French
Geography
History
Latin
Music
Drama

Subjects are then grouped together in pair-options based on group popularity and students make their final selection towards the end of year 9.
